Mat Pilates on a Ball. Welcome to Yin Yang Pilates & Yoga where quiet meets energy. My vision for the studio is to assist clients in reaching optimal health of body, mind & spirit. We accomplish this using the foundation of STOTT PILATES method of training, and then by employing only the highest quality and experienced instructors in the industry! Our philosophy is to create a sense of fun, friendliness and community.
The environment at Yin Yang is one of encouragement and support! This formula has proven successful with literally hundreds of clients during our first six years of operation.

Our studio is a fully equipped STOTT PILATES studio, the environment is aneco-conscious green studio accented with decor designed to calm the spirit and bring harmony. What is the STOTT Pilates method?

The STOTT PILATES method is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. Co-founders Moira and Lindsay Merrithew along with a team of physical therapist, sports medicine and fitness professionals have spent more than a decade refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise and equipment. This has resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available.

What is the difference between the STOTT PILATES® Method and other Pilates techniques?

The STOTT Pilates method incorporates modern exercise principles, including contemporary thinking about spinal rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement. For example, some approaches may promote a flat back, whereas the STOTT PILATES method exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints, placing more emphasis on scapular stabilization.

There are more preparatory exercises and modification to cater to many different body types and abilities, making it applicable to everyday life.
